Hiring Primary and Secondary English Teachers; Numeracy Coach - start in June or September 2018



As part of a government funded initiative, we are hiring licensed primary and secondary ELT teachers to teach in MOE schools in Brunei. Positions start June 17, with the possibility of more roles opening in September. In addition, we have limited opportunities for a Numeracy (Math) coach.

Please note - all applicants must be government licensed teachers with citizenship from one of the following countries: UK, CAN, IRE, AUS, NZ, SA. (Sorry - no visas available for Americans for English teacher roles - Americans are welcome to apply for the Numeracy Coach position.)

All applicants must have 3 years of teaching experience after receiving a valid state/provincial/PGCE/SACE teaching license. Brunei Darussalam is a small, peaceful country on the island of Borneo in South East Asia. It is surrounded by pristine tropical jungle and beaches with temperatures around 27 - 30C degrees all year.

Qualifications
1) Degree from a university in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, or South Africa (Sorry - no visas are available for Americans for the ELT project.)
2) Qualified teacher status/teacher accreditation (PGCE, Bed, or equivalent.) TESL/CELTA/TESOL advisable, but is not accepted in lieu of a teaching license.
3) Minimum 3 years relevant classroom teaching experience post qualification plus EFL/ESL training/experience preferable but not essential. Must have relevant teaching experience within the past year.
4) Under 55 years of age for secondary ELT teachers, under 54 for primary teachers.
5) Must have valid driver's license and be willing to drive in Brunei
6. Availability to relocate in June or September 2018.
